Landscape Design in Altamonte Springs
We design yards around how your property actually behaves: where water runs, which trees catch the wind, and what will still look composed after a hard storm season. You get a clear plan, plant choices that suit your soil, and a written estimate before any work begins.

A plan before a single plant goes in
Good landscape design starts with a walk around your home, not a catalog. We look at grade, drainage, sun exposure, existing trees and the beds that keep failing, then draw a layout that fixes those problems while giving the yard a calm, finished look.
It is the right call when you are starting over after storm damage, replacing tired foundation plantings, or tying a new patio or walkway into the rest of the yard. It also makes sense before you spend on sod or irrigation, because a design decides where those belong.
We are a family-owned company, business licensed and fully insured, and we keep design and installation in the same hands so the finished yard matches the drawing.

What a design from us covers
- 01
Site assessment
We note soil type, low spots, sun and shade through the day, and where runoff from the roof lands. Photos of what we find go with your estimate.
- 02
Wind-aware plant selection
We favor species with flexible growth and sound root systems, and we keep large canopy plantings a sensible distance from the house. Fewer brittle shrubs means less to replace after a rough summer.
- 03
Drainage and grading plan
Beds, swales and edging are laid out to move heavy rain away from foundations and walkways. This often solves the puddling that kills lawns along a driveway.
- 04
Layout and materials
You see bed shapes, plant spacing, mulch or stone choices, and how any hardscape installation fits in. We explain why each material was chosen, including how it ages in full sun.
- 05
Phased options
If the full plan is more than you want to take on at once, we break it into stages that each leave the yard looking complete.

Storm damage left gaps
A fallen tree or flattened hedge row changes the shade and the look of the whole yard. Replanting piece by piece rarely brings it back together.
Water pools after every rain
Standing water near the house or on the lawn points to a grading or bed layout problem that plants alone will not fix.
Plants keep dying in the same spot
Usually the plant is wrong for the light, the soil or the water there. A design matches each area to what will thrive.
Shrubs crowd the house
Overgrown foundation plantings hold moisture against walls and block windows. Planned spacing keeps air moving and trimming manageable.
The yard does not fit how you live
You want a seating area, a play lawn or less to mow. Design is where those priorities get worked into the layout.
How a design project runs
- 1
On-site walkthrough
We walk the property with you, listen to what you want, and look closely at drainage, trees and soil. There is no charge for this visit.
- 2
Plan and written estimate
You receive a layout with plant and material choices and a line-item estimate. We talk through any changes until the plan feels right to you.
- 3
Site preparation
We clear old plantings, correct grade where needed and amend beds. Driveways and walkways are protected while equipment is on site.
- 4
Installation and cleanup
Plants go in at proper depth and spacing, beds are edged and mulched, and we leave the yard swept and tidy. You get simple care notes for the first weeks.
What shapes the cost of landscape design
Every yard starts from a different place, so we price from what we see on the walkthrough. Your estimate lists each part of the work separately, and nothing is added without your approval. For larger projects you can spread payments out: we offer financing of up to $100,000, with terms anywhere from 2 to 12 years and no penalty for paying it off early.
- Size and scope
- A front entry refresh is a very different project from a full redesign of front, side and back yards.
- Plant size and species
- Larger container sizes give an established look sooner but cost more. Specimen palms and trees are a significant line on their own.
- Removal and grading
- Taking out storm-damaged trees, stumps or overgrown beds, and reshaping the ground for drainage, adds labor before planting starts.
- Hardscape and irrigation
- Pavers, stone borders and new or adjusted irrigation zones are priced as distinct items so you can see what each adds.
Landscape design questions
Can you redesign the yard after a storm took out trees?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people call us. We assess what is left, remove what cannot be saved, and plan new plantings around the changed light and space. We can also handle stump grinding and debris so the site is ready.
Do you install the design, or only draw it?
We do both. Keeping design and installation together means the spacing, depths and materials match what was planned, and you deal with one company from start to finish.
How do you choose plants that hold up in Central Florida weather?
We look at wind exposure, drainage and sun on your specific lot, then favor plants with a track record in sandy soil and summer heat. We avoid brittle or shallow-rooted choices near the house and leave room for mature size.
Can I do the project in stages?
Yes. We often design the whole yard and then install it in phases, starting with the area that matters most to you. Each phase is planned to look finished on its own.
What happens on the first call?
We ask a few questions about your yard and what you have in mind, then set a time for a free on-site walkthrough. After that visit you receive a written estimate to review at your own pace.

Start with a walk around your yard
We will look at what is working, what the last storm changed and what you would like the space to become. You leave the visit with ideas, and soon after, a written estimate.
